I played my last NYC show of the year last night at Midway. www.clubmidway.com Running Still invited me to play in the middle of their showcase and it was a surprisingly great crowd.
I got to the city early and I decided I was going to try some new cuisine. I usually get something to eat at a Japanese restaurant at Houston and Allen, but they were closed. So I went on a search for something different. I ended up getting a good old fashioned slice of pizza at Rosarios, right across the street from Arlene’s Grocery. Then I went around the corner to this organic grocery store, where I purchased a earl grey tea and a wheat grass brownie. I’m not really sure what I was thinking, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. Tea and a bisquit…sort of. The first bite of the brownie was like I thought it would be - “Oh, this tastes like it’s really high in fiber.” The second bite tasted like I just mowed the lawn and then made a dirt sundae out of what was left afterwards. I finished it, of course, because I am stupid. Bleh.
Tomorrow is the christmas special at SOTA. That’s going to be a good time. Right now, I’m in Long Island at The Wave. We’re raising money for Toys for Tots. Fa la la la la, la la la la……!
