Radiohead and HEAR Music
I found this article while bouncing around some music blogs today. You know, if Radiohead actually did sign with Starbucks/HEAR Music, it wouldn’t be the worst thing they’ve ever done. They wouldn’t get any cool cred for it, but who cares. Cool isn’t currency anymore. Notice the part about how they aren’t negotiating a record deal with anyone. Now, that is cool and smart.
Radiohead Deny The Starbucks Rumours
After Starbucks confirmed they had signed Beatles legend Paul McCartney the next up was…Radiohead? After one of the band’s representatives was caught meeting with someone from the coffee chain the rumours started flying.
Management has flat out denied it and issued the following statement:
“Radiohead are currently in the studio working on their next record. They are not negotiating a new record deal with anyone, and will not even consider how to release their new music until the album is finished.
“The rumour that they are about to sign with Starbucks is totally untrue.”
