This is costing me $7.95. If I didn’t have some extra time, I don’t think I would have paid.  But, I need to get some stuff done and I wanted to let you know how things are going.

I’m playing in Franklin, TN this Sunday, after coming back from Seattle (my flight leaves in 20 min). Then I head to the mid-west.  Looking forward to seeing you Missouri and Iowa folks again. It’s been too long.

IOTA with The Modern Skirts and The Brakes on Monday was a killer show.  We all had a great time. Thanks for coming out.

My very talented and gracious friend, Brad Wolf of SOTA took some great shots.  He made us look pretty cool. No? You can see more here.

Pfour days in…

Brad, Pete and I are four days in to the Pfriends on Pfilm tour.  Friday’s show at SOTA was a great send off.  Lexington on Saturday and Mt. Pleasant last night were amazing as well.  I am so happy to be doing this.

Response has been very positive.  There are some clips on Youtube of the SOTA show, which is nice…cause I haven’t been able to watch it myself.  Too busy singing, playing, etc.

After playing with our good pfriends All Get Out, Baumer and Darling, We Made It at The Village Tavern last night, we drove for a couple hours towards Franklin, TN.  I drove, while Pete and Brad watched some Flight of the Conchords on Brad’s Mac Book Pro.  Needless to say, it helped keep us all awake.

More later…on to the next show.

An interview with T. Clair for Into the Hill and a pfriendly update

Well, all the dates for the Pfriends on Pfilm tour are booked.  Rehearsals are going great too.  I’m really excited to bring this show to you.

I sat down with T. Clair and Into the Hill a few days ago (he at his laptop, and me at mine) for a chat about my musical meanderings, the upcoming tour and a look into the pfuture.

Go here and check it out.

Into the Hill will also be coming to my show at Uncle Freddy’s Gallery just outside Chicago on January 26 to capture the performance on video.  So those of you who are not in one of the cities we’re coming to will be able to get a peak at what its like.

Speaking of peaks, Brad Wolf at SOTA has been working on a “trailer” for Pfriends on Pfilm.  Be on the look out for that in the next week or two at Myspace, Facebook, Virb and every other corner of the web I have staked a flag.

Heima, Indiana and eleven hours in a rental car

My friend Brad Wolf, of SOTA, showed me this yesterday.  I’ve watched it a couple of times and still get chills.  I really have to see them live.

I will probably be listening to Sigur Ros the whole way to Indiana tomorrow.  11 hour drive.  Two day surgical strike in the heartland.  It’s always worth it.  Every show counts.  I’ve been learning that more and more lately.

Remember, you are a weapon.  Word of mouth is how I keep doing this thing.

I’ve been recording some of the Christmas songs you requested.  So far, Silent Night and O Holy Night are finished.  A White Stripes/Black Sabbath inspired version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and a Fleetwood Mac-ish O Come All Ye Faithful are almost done.  Can’t wait to make them available to you in December.

I’ve written a couple new songs, which I have been playing live recently.  I think I’ll record them as well.
