BLACK CAT SCRATCH FEVER AND YOU TUBE

Dun dun dun na.  I just heard that song on the radio today.  God bless Ted Nugent.  There’s a guy who wasn’t afraid to take a chance.  I like his style.  Guitar in one hand and a hunting bow in the other.

The Black Cat show last night with Lejeune was great.  Thanks so much for coming out.   I got to play with my good friend Harry Evans on drums, which was a treat.  Seeing all of you DC/VA/MD peeps was cool too.  If any of you that came happened to video some of the show on your fancy phones, you should put it up on www.youtube.com I’m trying to get some more stuff up there.

I will be going out on tour again soon.  I hope to see you all with cells in hand to tape away.

SHAWN+SYNERGY=SHAWNERGY

I swear, every place we go around here - somebody knows Shawn. He is working it like a magician. It’s fun to watch him use his gift of gab. We’ve been in the studio, ironing out some kinks before beginning to track drums. It’s been cool though, cause I have had time to work out arrangements and drum parts with Matt. I think we’ll get to ‘No Shelter’, ‘Give All’ and ‘Lie to Yourself’ today. Hal, the bass player is coming in soon as well. I’ll write more later.

The caravan is ready to move westward

It’s 3:00 in the morning, we are less than 48 hours away from heading out west to make Andy’s album. As many of you know, we have been raising the money independently for the album. Andy and I have been working since November on getting this project together. We’ve talked to investors, held parties, thrown private fundraising concerts and have worked tirelessly to get to the point we are at now. I consider our start date to be around November 12, 2005 which is when I wrote the first draft of the business plan. Since then between writing various business plans, traveling, touring, putting on shows with Andy, mailing invites to parties, writing press releases, giving the pitch to investors, talking with our producer James Barber, scheduling studio time, designing websites, and so on and so on, I figured out that I’ve only had four days off since we started this whole thing.

So when we get done in a few weeks, after the string of dates home, I’m taking two weeks off and hanging out with my wife. We are going to go fishing or something, then after that Andy and I will be taking this record to the people, cause I really think it’s gonna be awesome.

The purpose of this blog is to provide a place for fans and friends of Andy to check out our progress in the studio. We’ll be making updates with pictures, studio notes and probably even a song or two here and there. Everyone has been so cool and supportive and we just want you to feel like you are a part of what where doing, because we couldn’t do this without you and we really are all in this together.
